Pakistan will look to rewrite history when they take on India on October 24 in Dubai in the T20 World Cup encounter. The much-anticipated match will be played at the Dubai Cricket Stadium.
Given their winless history against arch-rivals India in World Cups, Pakistan will try harder to change the history on Sunday. Regardless of the results, a high-voltage match is expected on October 24.

Despite their dominance in head-to-head encounters in ODI and Test format, Pakistan have a forgettable record against India in the T20Is. Out of eight matches played between the two sides since the 2007 T20 World Cup, Pakistan have won only one, while India have emerged victorious in six of them. Five of these wins came during the T20 World Cups of 2007, 2012, 2014, and 2016.
Given that none of the matches were played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the stronghold of Pakistan, the Green Shirts will have an outside chance against arch-rivals during the Sunday game.
To do so, they will require their top order, including captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Fakhar Zaman to rise to the occasion. If everyone chipped in as expected, Pakistan could turn the tide on the field.
India, on the other hand, are well-equipped and well-prepared for the event, as well as for the Pakistan encounter by far. They have a settled batting lineup backed by an in-form bowling unit.
