In a tragic incident, the curator who prepared the pitch for New Zealand vs Afghanistan T20 World Cup match in Abu Dhabi has been found dead in his room.
According to initial reports, Mohan Singh, who hailed from India, had committed suicide. The reasons behind his move are still unknown.
After the tragic incident, the administration has started an investigation into Mohan Singh’s death.

The chief curator of the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Mohan was responsible for the preparation of pitches that host matches of Australia, England, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies on this ground.
Originally from Indian Punjab, Mohan came to Abu Dhabi in September 2004 after completing his training as a curator from the Punjab Cricket Stadium in Mohali.
