Pakistan captain Babar Azam, who is the No.1 ODI, No.2 T20 batsman in the ICC T20 Rankings for batters, has announced to launch a fashion brand called ‘56B’ after his shirt no. 56.
The skipper revealed this while speaking about his shirt number in a video shared by Pakistan Cricket on its official Twitter handle.
In the video, which shared interesting secrets behind shirt numbers of various Pakistani cricketers, including Shoaib Malik, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf and Shoaib Malik, Babar said he was given a No.39 shirt at the start of his career, which was later changed to 56.
“I did not value shirt numbers earlier in my career, but it has now become an integral part of my cricket journey. Now I carry No.56 on my back, and I am soon going to launch a brand, which will be called 56B.”

The 25-year-old opening batter is leading Pakistan into the T20 World Cup 2021 for the first time. So far, Pakistan have won four Group 2 matches on the bounce under his captaincy, cementing a semifinal berth in the process.
Namibia was the fourth team after India, New Zealand and Afghanistan to have been crushed by Pakistan in Group 2 matches. It all started when the Green Shirts made history against archrivals India, by handing them a humbling 10-wicket defeat in Dubai last Sunday.
This was their first-ever win against the neighbours in any world cup match since 1992. New Zealand were the second team to get thrashed, followed by Afghanistan and Namibia Tuesday.
