Update: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after consultation with the Chief Selector Mohammad Wasim has decided to open a transfer window on Monday through which the coaches of the six teams can swap players who have not yet made an appearance in the tournament.
According to PCB, the coaches will make the transfers in a meeting on Monday. The transfer window process will be supervised by Director High-Performance Nadeem Khan and Chief Selector Muhammad Wasim.
This move has been designed to ensure maximum participation of players especially the ones who have warmed the bench so far.
In this regard, five players were loaned to three sides for the remaining 25 matches of the National T20 Cup matches. The temporary trades were made after deliberations between the head coaches of the six First XI Cricket Association teams.
Here are the details of loaned players.
To Balochistan: Abdullah Shafique (from Central Punjab), Mohammad Mohsin (not in any squad), Sohail Akhtar (from Northern)
To Central Punjab: Sameen Gul (from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa)
To Southern Punjab: Usama Mir (not in any squad)
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced star-studded squads for the National T20 2021-22, which will be held from 23 September and 13 October.
Pakistan’s best shortest format players are available for the T20 event. So, hold your horse; because it is going to be Babar Azam vs Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan vs Shadab Khan, and Sharjeel Khan vs Naseem Shah. Or it will be Fakhar Zaman vs Shahnawaz Dahani and Hasan Ali vs Imam-ul-Haq.

The PCB said in a statement that the 18 matches in Rawalpindi, which were initially scheduled for Multan, will now be played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium till 3 October. The second leg of 15 matches, however, will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium from 6 October till the 13th.
The National T20 is a fiercely contested and highly entertaining tournament. It not only provides opportunities to cricketers to stake claims on the national side, but leading performers get a chance to be included in the HBL PSL Player Draft and then picked up by the franchises.

The event starting later this week has become even more critical as members of the Pakistan squad for next month’s ICC T20 World Cup will be in action. With each player to get, at least, 10 matches, they will aim to strike form and fitness that can help them be in their best shape when they arrive in the United Arab Emirates on 15 October.

“Following the postponement of the New Zealand series, the National T20 provides an opportunity to our elite cricketers to maintain their focus and composure, show the world that they have not been distracted by the events of last week and continue with their preparations for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
“The participation of our finest cricketers in the National T20 will also enhance the reputation, value and significance of the tournament while providing the next generation of cricketers a chance to rub shoulders with the national stars and learn the art of preparing and performing at the highest level.”
