Karachi Kings have appointed former England coach Peter Moores as the head coach for the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
“Former England Head Coach Peter Moores has joined #KingsFamily as the Head Coach of Karachi Kings for the 7th edition of PSL 7. Let’s welcome him on board!” the franchise said in a Twitter post.

It also shared Moores video message with the tweet.
“It’s so exciting to be able to come and join the Karachi family,” Moores said in his video message. “I can’t wait to get stuck it; it’s known to be one of the best tournaments worldwide because of the strength of the local talent. It’s something I can’t wait to get involved with. The fact it’s being played in Pakistan makes it even better – the traditions, the passion – and we’re going to try to play some really exciting, aggressive cricket,” he added.

Moores is one of the most experienced coaches out there with a plethora of international and franchise cricket experience under his belt. He has coached the English national side on two different occasions.
He will replace former South African batting great, Herschelle Gibbs who mentored Kings during the 2021 season.
The 2020 champions have overhauled their team management ahead of the PSL 7. Earlier, the 2020 champions had replaced Imad Wasim as the captain of the side with batting prodigy and all-format Pakistan skipper, Babar Azam.
