Balochistan have registered their maiden win in the National T20 Cup after beating Southern Punjab by seven wickets. The match was played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.
Balochistan captain Imam-ul-Haq asked Southern Punjab to bat after winning the toss. The decision was well-supported by his bowlers as Khurram Shehzad sent Zain Abbas packing in the very first over of the game.
Zeeshan Ashraf and captain Sohaib Maqsood added 45 runs for the second wickets before Ashraf got out for his individual 19. His wicket triggered a collapse as the next five wickets dropped for just 25 runs. Sohaib (24), Khushdil Shah (6), Azam Khan (1), and Amer Yamin (3) got out cheaply.

Hassan Khan (19) helped Southern Punjab cross the 100-run mark before the side bundled out for 101 in the 18th over.
Leg-spin linchpin Yasir Shah and all-rounder Amad Butt shared three wickets apiece while Umaid Asif took two wickets.

Balochistan could not take a strong start to the chase as their captain Imam-ul-Haq got out for 8 runs. Abdul Bangalzai and Bismillah Khan added 53 runs for the second wicket partnership before the latter got out for 28. However, the youngster Bangalzai continued his fine form and scored his first 50 in the T20 format and won his side the game in the process.
