19 Years Old Huraira Smashes Maiden First-Class Triple Hundred

19-year-old Mohammad Huraira of Northern has scored a triple century in a Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match against Balochistan.

With this, Huraira becomes the second-youngest Pakistani after Javed Miandad to score a triple-ton in FC cricket. His triple century comes in only 327 balls, in response to Balochistan’s innings of 305 all-out.

The youngster got out at 311, after which Northern declared the innings at 624/4 with a lead of 319 runs.

Huraira is a Pakistan U19 product and a nephew of seasoned all-rounder Shoaib Malik. He is the second youngest Pakistani and eighth player overall to score a triple hundred in First-Class cricket. Before him, seven players, three from India, and one from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and West Indies have achieved this feat.

Earlier on Sunday, Huraira told PakPassion that he idolizes New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, India’s Virat Kohli, and Pakistan’s all-format captain, Babar Azam.

He also said he was lucky to have an uncle like Malik as inspiration.

“I am very fortunate that Shoaib Malik is my uncle and he has always been an inspiration for me. He has always encouraged me to not give up and to continue working hard as there are no shortcuts to success in cricket,” he added.
